Cricket reached new heights of glory with the introduction of Twenty 20. The euphoria was unimaginable. And created a space for marketers and advertisers like never before, however the trend continues as Neo Cricket has created a brilliant campaign for the upcoming India-Australia Series.
It’s simple and easy to understand and every cricket lover or non cricket lover, which India has very few off, can instantly make a connect with it. The campaign is built on a simple thought ‘ You are going to scream and shout when you see India beat the hell out of Australia, it’s going to be a battle of the best. So save your voice as you are going to need it”.
The campaign has a couple of ads, the most interesting one though is that of a woman giving birth to a child. Her moans are soft and you wonder how the experience of child birth appears to be so painless. Even the child comes out and the doctor softly whacks him to let out a silent cry. The ad ends to reveal “India, awaaz bacha ke rakho, Australia aa raha hai”. Then breaks lose some music and excitement and the dates are revealed.
A refreshingly good ad after the not so impressive Amitabh Bachchan ads for the Champions Trophy. Cricket should be celebrated and when it is advertised keeping in mind the true spirit and when it echoes the voice of the audience it just sticks.
Good direction, excellent script and an ad that is not going to be forgotten for a long time, maybe even after the series is over. In a nation that is so crazy about the game, a religion for some it is indeed inspiring to see commercials that spark some more excitement into the game.
