The ad follows an emotional approach and the focus is on selling the benefit of product apposed to the brand. It tries to make a connect with a young urban audience that is so neck deep in work and is constantly tired and urges them to take a break by biting into a chocolate covered biscuit.
The ad features two young men sitting on a park bench. While one is busy typing on his laptop, the other one is sitting on the grass and eating his Kit Kat. All of a sudden he reaches another place and looks in amazement as two squirrels descend in front of him and the male squirrel starts serenading the female squirrel in pure Bollywood passion.
You cannot help but think about Sri Devi and Anil Kapoor when the squirrels start dancing to the tune of ‘Kaante nahi kat te yeh din yeh raat’ the much celebrated song from Mr. India. It’s absolutely adorable to see the squirrels romancing each other. Through out the sequence the boy who is imagining the squirrels nudges his friend to see what he is looking at. But his friend does not listen to him and keeping prodding away at his laptop, ear phones in his ear.
The ad ends with the boy bewildered and relishing his Kit Kat. A voice over in the end says that life is difficult, however you should consider taking a break once in a while with a Kat Kat in hand. It will take you to another place.
