In an effort to create a bold fashion statement for young women all over the country, Scooty Pep+ has introduced a series of commercials that glorify the young Indian woman of today. She is young, she has no care in the world and knows how to get the job done.
The first ad features two young urban women riding up the road only to stop at a traffic light. One girl decides that she needs lipstick and removes her favourite colour from her bag and starts applying it using the window of the car next to her as a make shift mirror. She does not realise and does not care that there is someone behind the mirror. The focus shifts to the man behind the wheel, he cannot take his eyes off her, until of course he is rudely awakened from his trance by his co passenger who is his wife.
The second ad also features a young girl who is trapped behind a barricade along with a number of other cars and motor bikes. However she is the youth and she is restless and needs to be somewhere and is as usual late. Dressed in the skinniest of clothes she tries to be cute for the traffic policeman who has blocked the traffic to facilitate passage for a minister in the city.
He does not give in at first constant persuasion by way of baby facial expressions coerce him into letting her cut through. Everyone is amazed and extremely shocked. A pizza delivery boy tries to convince the traffic police but fails.
Girl power always works, and that’s what the ad showcases. The new TVS Scooty Pep+ is targeted towards the young Indian woman and it manages to strike a positive chord with those who like living life on their own terms without really thinking about what the rest of the world thinks about them.
