You and I

It is important to make an advertisement which engages and excites the viewers at the same time. Advertisements form the core of brand management, as advertisements itself can decide the brand value as well as the success of the brand. Vodafone has thus been utilizing the full potential of advertisements which has made it the second largest telecom provider in the country. They have been rather successful in setting a mark for themselves and have been precisely able to hit the nail on the head with their advertisements.

Starting from the pugs which would follow a girl wherever she would go ads to the zoozoo ads released during the IPL, they have been rather strong and smart with their advertisement strategy sending across the message clearly and distinctively. The ‘Happy to help’ ads which featured a pug revolutionized the popularity of Pugs in the market to the extent that they became one of the most expensive dogs to own.

Another point which shows the creative genius of the advertisement director is the fact that they hardly ever use celebrities and even then manage to leave an impression on the viewer. Their ads are usually supported by very melodious and effective tunes and songs which make it easy for the viewers to remember for a long time.

The ad which shows a dog who is always at a small girls service by helping her out with different things such as getting ready for school, getting a fishing net while she is next to a pond trying to catch a fish, getting her socks or running after her school bus with her school tie which she might have forgotten exactly defines the service which Vodafone provides to its customer or so they were trying to portray. While at the same time, smartly ending the ad with the tag line ‘happy to help’ gives a definite idea about prompt and amicable customer care.

The simplicity and cuteness of the Vodafone advertisements have always managed to make it easy for viewers to remember their ads and at the same time not mind spending the time between their soaps or movies to watch the ads.

Even though the latest zoozoo ads released during the IPL seemed to be more of a tagging affair with some people saying that Vodafone had run out of ideas, but that just proves the fact that the expectations from the Vodafone ads are rather high which should definitely drive them towards making new and better advertisements.
